LOCAL GROUP MEETING: THE 2020 REBELLION DISCUSSION!

Yes if you haven’t already heard, Extinction Rebellion have announced it’s next UK Rebellion - beginning on 1st September - when the UK Parliament is due to sit again. The plan is to peacefully blockade the Houses of Parliament until the Government agrees to pass the Climate and Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill. Find out more about the Bill here:

As a precursor to the Rebellion, on the bank holiday weekend 28 - 31st August, local groups around the country will be holding a Countdown to Rebellion in their hometowns, as a means to let the Government know that Rebellion is coming.

The meeting will start with the usual format of a check-in, regen and induction for new rebels. Then, instead of an open agenda, the meeting will be all about the upcoming WE WANT TO LIVE REBELLION!

Whether you're new to XR or you would just like to connect with fellow rebels regarding the rebellion, this meeting is open to all.  Please do come along, find out what’s happening, hear how you can get involved, ask any burning questions you may have or just generally get excited and motivated about the whole thing!

You can access a Zoom meeting on a laptop, tablet or smartphone or a PC as long as you have a microphone (camera ideal, but not essential). There's also the option to dial in by telephone - normal call charges apply.
