XRWD Rebel Trail Action - Day 2

stop hs2We, XRWD, would like to support the Sunday (Day 2) leg of this fantastic week long action from Birmingham to London.Day 2 Is short. Only 14 miles. It starts very near Hampton in Arden railway station (about 1Km away) at 09:00. The route passes very close to Berkswell railway station then follows the Greenway, Crewe Lane (Kenilworth), Crackley Wood (lunch stop), Stoneleigh Park, Cubbington (outskirts)and the day ends at South Cubbington Wood. Some people are walking multiple days and are camping. Some plan on doing the entire walk

We, XRWD, would like to carry the XRWD Banner for the whole day.

We think that it will need 2 small groups to carry it, relay style, for About 7 miles each. Ideally we would have 5-6 people per leg. Will you join our XRWD relay ? Do have a preference for the section you walk or do you plan to walk multiple segments or the full day 2 route ? We need to know so that we can put a plan together.

We have attached an overview map and 6 detailed maps of the route. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AY4r--Os4bafKSP8T_8bs0n8fhE13OPx?usp=sharing

We have more information if you want it.

This is the first of hopefully many 'Climate Cafe' events we are holding online via zoom.

This is an open, relaxed meeting in which rebels can gather to have a non-agenda led chat about current goings on. This could be in regards to local actions, news or just to reach out for company in this hard times.

Pop along, we would love to see you there!

Reclaim the Streets

Reclaim the StreetsSunday 28th June 2020
11.00 am meet at The bandstand, Leamington

Part of a national campaign which is encouraging cyclists and pedestrians to take to the streets as part of the wider "No Going Back" message. This peaceful and "socially distant" action will provide a strong message that the town centre streets around the world are for all to enjoy , and residents would like the recent reduction in traffic use and improvement in air quality to continue post-Covid19.

We will cycle an easy two mile route around Leamington Spa town centre, you are free to cycle the route as many times as you wish. Please bring hi-viz and flags if you have them.
