Banner Drop and Twitterstorm - help needed!

XRWD is taking part in the UK-wide campaign on Friday 26th March to raise the profile of the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill amongst MPs. This is the date when the Bill was due to have its second reading, however Friday sittings in Parliament have been cancelled until after Easter due to the pandemic so we need to keep it in the public eye.

We are creating a banner as part of the campaign and are looking for a few rebels to cut out large letters (30x40cm) on black fabric using paper templates. We will provide the fabric and letters printed on A3 paper. There are 16 different letters, some of which are used several times, making 38 letters in total. You'll need fabric or good paper scissors, pins and dressmaker's chalk (we have some chalk for loan if necessary). If you don't have pins, you could glue the letter onto cardboard and draw round it that way.

If you can help, please email Felicity on This email address is being protected from spambots. We'll arrange to drop off the fabric and A3 sheets to you and pick them up when completed. We'll need them by Friday 19th March to leave enough time for sewing the letters onto the banner.

Thank you for any help you can offer. We are all crew.

More details about how you can take part in the Twitterstorm will be in the next newsletter.
